I was born in Balham, “Gateway to the South” according to Peter Sellers, and have been fortunate enough to have had a rich and diverse career working for organisations such as the Civil Service, Allied Lyons, the BBC and KPMG. Although I covered a range of roles in management, administration, HR, project management and tax, none of it truly worked for me. At the same time, it does mean that I have a very broad range of direct workplace experience from which to draw when advising clients.
Feeling disillusioned by some of what I saw, I reached my own crossroads in 2010 and decided to focus on a more meaningful career for me – one where I could help others directly to feel better about themselves. I gained a range of academic and professional qualifications (detailed on the right) which mean that I am well grounded in the psychological theories behind career success and personal change and transformation.
They are the closest things I could find that would allow me to help people and make a difference to them as individuals. You can be assured that I am a qualified, experienced and safe pair of hands.
And so in the last eight or so years I have made a difference to 350+ people’s lives. This has given me enormous and deep satisfaction and I’m very proud of the testimonials that clients have voluntarily sent me.
I will work with you, a rounded and unique human being. I will listen and respond to you as an individual and will not follow a set or prescribed process or be restricted by any particular formula, model or approach to coaching. Drawing on my background and extensive experience in applied psychological approaches to personal change and transformation, I will work with you holistically to support you in gaining greater understanding, developing awareness, making decisions and implementing changes. Inevitably, the more you put in, the more you will get out.
