When your teenager or young adult has no idea what they want to do

You’ve watched them struggle. You’ve had the conversations. Perhaps you’ve suggested options, researched courses, or encouraged them to just try something. But they’re still stuck and you’re not sure what to do next.

This is more common than you might think and there’s something you can do about it.

What I offer

I offer a structured career analysis programme for young people aged 15-24.

It is evidence-based, individually tailored, and produces a substantial personally written report that gives them (and you!) something concrete to work with. Nothing is computer generated or standard.

What the process looks like

When you get in touch, I’ll ask you to tell me a little about your young adult’s situation and what you’re hoping to achieve.

I'll explain what I offer and how it works, and if it seems like a good fit, I'll arrange a brief conversation with your young adult too. If everyone is happy to proceed, I'll put everything in writing including the fee, so there are no surprises.

Once confirmed, they will complete a set of assessments in their own time at home. These cover personality, interests and aptitudes and are drawn from well-established, reputable tools. I then analyse the results thoroughly before we meet for a consultation of around an hour to an hour and a half. This is their time, and we use it to explore what the results mean for them personally.

After the consultation I write everything up in a personally tailored report. This covers detailed feedback on each assessment, what the results suggest about suitable careers, roles and working environments, and in some cases further study or apprenticeship options. I identify a range of career areas to explore, which may sometimes overlap or cluster around common themes. I aim to weave a coherent narrative through the report so that the findings make sense as a whole picture rather than a series of disconnected sections.

The most important thing to understand is that there is rarely one single right answer. What matters is finding work where their strengths can be put to good use.

A note on what happens afterwards

Once the report has been delivered, I am happy to answer straightforward questions of clarification. The service does not extend to ongoing job search support, CV writing, interview coaching or course research. My role is to analyse, advise and give direction. There are other specialists better placed to help with those other things.

Commitment and Fee

£580.

A deposit of £290 is required to confirm your place, with the balance due before the consultation.
